The LSU AgCenter invites those involved with Louisiana’s commercial poultry industry to the 2025 Poultry Field Day, set for Tuesday, September 30 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Hill Farm Research Station (11959 Hwy 9, Homer, LA 71040).
This free, one-day event will host educational presentations, a trade show and live demonstrations.
Presentation topics include: a biosecurity update for the state, reports from the inlet retrofit study at the Hill Farm, litter management, current NRCS programs, and evaporative cooling principles. Planned demonstrations include a poultry house blower, litter spreader calibration, in vessel composting, how to properly perform a house tightness test and smoke a house, and understanding water distribution, cleaning, and mineralization of cool cell pads.
The accompanying tradeshow will host not only dealers but vendors and other allied industry members. So please join us on September 30th for the 2025 LSU AgCenter Poultry Field Day.
