Man found passed out in Ruston restaurant

A man possibly under the influence of synthetic marijuana was arrested for disturbing the peace after he was found passed out in a Ruston restaurant.

Noah O’Neal White, 43, of West Monroe was arrested Jan. 30 at a restaurant on Maxwell Boulevard for disturbing the peace while appearing intoxicated in public.

Responding officers found White unconscious in a booth inside the restaurant. After several attempts to wake him, White finally awoke and appeared to be intoxicated to the point of being unable to stand still.

White was asked if he had consumed any substance that caused his intoxicated appearance. He said he did not recall how he got to Ruston from West Monroe and did not consume any substances. However, he stated he smoked synthetic marijuana.

Due to White’s intoxicated appearance in a public place around families, he was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
