Louisiana State Police arrested an Alabama man Monday after over half a pound of marijuana was found in his vehicle on a traffic stop.
Ta’Darirous Sanchez Williams, 27, of Birmingham, was stopped on February 2 for following too close on Interstate 20 eastbound near mile post 77.
The state trooper who stopped Williams noted items that aroused his suspicions. A drug detection dog gave a positive indication of narcotics in the vehicle.

A search located approximately 0.6 pounds of suspected marijuana that was wrapped in dryer sheets and vacuum sealed in a plastic bag. The bag was found in the center console next to the driver’s seat.
Williams was arrested and taken to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center and booked for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
