A Ruston woman was arrested Friday after state police investigated a two-vehicle crash in Bienville Parish.
Kassidy Sharae Roberson, 23, was arrested June 27 for first offense DWI and being a fugitive from another jurisdiction.
According to a report, a state trooper responded to a two-vehicle hit and run crash on Interstate 20 near mile marker 77 in Bienville Parish. Roberson’s disabled vehicle was found in the right travel lane.
After making contact with Roberson, troopers advised her of her rights. The report states the trooper saw Roberson’s eyes were red and glassy, she was swaying, her speech was slurred and they detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage.
Roberson consented to standardized field sobriety tests and performed poorly, according to the report. She was arrested for DWI and taken to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center where a breath test showed her blood alcohol concentration to be .122g%, well over the Louisiana legal limit of .08g%.
During the investigation, the trooper also learned Roberson had an outstanding out-of-state warrant. However, the report did not identify the state nor the charge against Roberson
Roberson also received misdemeanor summonses for violations related to the crash in Bienville Parish.
