I am pleased to announce my candidacy for re-election to the Lincoln Parish School Board, representing District 4.
Serving the students, families, educators, and taxpayers of Lincoln Parish has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Education has always been my passion, and I have dedicated more than four decades to serving the children of our parish.
During my 41-year career in public education, I served as a classroom mathematics teacher, principal at both Dubach and Simsboro schools, and later as the Accountability and Testing Coordinator for the Lincoln Parish School System before retiring in 2017.
Since joining the School Board in 2020, I have worked to support policies and decisions that put students first while maintaining a strong commitment to fiscal responsibility and educational excellence. My experience as an educator gives me a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing our schools.
Lincoln Parish Schools are entering an exciting and unique time. With a new superintendent, school reconfigurations, and continued changes in accountability measures and educational expectations, our district is positioned for growth and progress.
I look forward to continuing to be a part of that work as we raise the bar for student achievement and strengthen opportunities for all children. I am an educator, not a politician.
My goal has always been to support quality education and advocate for what is best for students, teachers, staff, and our community.
If re-elected, I will continue to listen, learn, and work collaboratively to ensure Lincoln Parish Schools remain a source of pride for our parish. My husband, Tommy, and I reside in Hico and are proud parents of three sons: TJ, Matt, and Dakota.
I am also an active member of Dubach Methodist Church, where I teach a Young Adult Sunday School class and participate in children’s ministry. I respectfully ask for your support and vote as I seek re-election to continue serving the citizens of District 4 and the students of Lincoln Parish.
