A passenger in a vehicle crash in Monroe Tuesday has died, according to police.
At about 3:07 p.m. July 14, officers of the Monroe Police Department responded to a crash at the intersection of Oliver Road and Forsythe Avenue in Monroe.
Officials said the crash occurred when a Chevrolet Cruze attempted to make a left turn in front of an oncoming Chevrolet Tahoe. Both the driver and passenger of the Cruze sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
Authorities said the passenger of the Cruze was later pronounced dead.
Monroe Police officials said toxicology reports are still pending.
