Southern States Equipment, a locally owned and operated equipment rental and sales company, has been named to the RER 100: Top Rental Equipment Companies, ranking No. 87 in its first full year of operation.
Editors of Rental Equipment Register (RER) have annually compiled the RER 100, recognizing the 100 largest rental companies in North America based on rental volume. Southern States Equipment’s No. 87 ranking marks a significant achievement for the growing company and its team.

Founded in November 2023 by Joey Elawadi, Stephen Bullock, and Ryan Faler, Southern States Equipment has quickly expanded its presence across the region. The company’s corporate office is located in Ruston, Louisiana, and SSE currently operates locations in Monroe and Shreveport, Louisiana; Longview, Texas; and Little Rock, Arkansas. The company also plans to open two additional locations later this year.
For Elawadi, Faler, and Bullock, the honor continues a proven track record. They previously led Iron Oak Services onto the RER 100 list in 2022, an achievement they’re now building on with Southern States Equipment, making SSE the second company they’ve built to national recognition.
