Louisiana Tech Lady Techster fans are invited to attend the 2022 Conference USA Division Championship Celebration on Tuesday, April 19 at 6:00 p.m. at Argent Pavilion.
The celebration will feature a fish fry followed by team recognition and a season recap from Head Coach Brooke Stoehr. Fans will also have the chance to take their picture with the West Division trophy.
The event is open to the public and a $20 per plate donation is requested.
The Lady Techsters clinched conference USA’s 2022 West Division with an 82-56 win over UAB at home capturing their first conference title since 2011, and their first since joining C-USA.
The title earned the Techsters an automatic qualifying bid to the WNIT, their first postseason tournament since 2018.
The Techsters finished the season with a 21-12 (11-7) record which was also their first 20-win season in 11 years.
LA Tech finished the year on an 11-3 tear to end the regular season after an 0-4 start to conference play which earned them a one seed and a double-bye in the conference tournament.
Tech made their first conference USA tournament title appearance after wins over UAB and Middle Tennessee in the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds.
Fans are encouraged to take this opportunity to come out and support the Lady Techsters and their 2021-22 season accomplishments.

Football
In conjunction with the Louisiana Tech spring football game on April 23, the athletics department is holding a Football Alumni Tailgate in the north end zone of Joe Aillet Stadium.
All former Louisiana Tech football players are invited to attend and reconnect with teammates and fellow football alumni as the event is part of Ever Loyal Be Weekend on campus. The event is free and exclusive to former Louisiana Tech football student athletes and their families, and is sponsored by the Louisiana Tech T-Club.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. and lunch will be served at 10:30 a.m. as Bulldog head coach Sonny Cumbie and Director of Athletics Eric Wood will address the group prior to kickoff of the spring game at 11 a.m.

All Bulldog football alum and all LA Tech alum and the general public are also encouraged to attend a statue dedication for Dr. Billy Bundrick at 9 a.m. in the commons area between Dr. Billy Bundrick Field and the Origin Bank Soccer and Softball Complex.
Dr. Bundrick served as Louisiana Tech Athletics team orthopedic surgeon who gave more than 40 years of his professional career to his alma mater. Louisiana Tech has honored Bundrick in a variety of ways over the past four decades.
The resume of the Tech football letter winner (1957-59), team captain, and longtime LA Tech team orthopedic doctor (1973-2013) is loaded with accolades from both the University and the athletics realm.
