
A Ruston woman was arrested early Thursday morning in connection with a stabbing at an East Hilly Avenue residence.
Authorities found the victim had been stabbed approximately and suffered apparent serious injuries. Officers administered first aid and the victim was airlifted by helicopter to Ochsner LSU Medical Center in Shreveport.
Information developed at the scene identified a female living At University Crossing Apartments at 1201 W California Ave.
Officers went to the apartment and located four individuals who were taken to the Ruston Police Department for questioning.
The victim told officers those four individuals came to the Hilly Ave residence to fight after an earlier altercation. When the suspects got her to the ground, Joyrionna Tillman, 18, stabbed her multiple times. The victim said she saw Tillman standing over her with a knife in her hand. When the victim screamed “she stabbed me,” the four ran away.
Tillman was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for aggravated second degree battery. It was unclear if her bail had been set at press time.
